I have lived and worked in Africa, W.Europe, India, SE.Asia and Canada. Presently, we live in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. My house is 5-minutes from Walmart Port Huron, Michigan, and 9-minutes from Walmart, Sarnia, Ontario. It's confusing, so prefer to shop in Cambodia, where we spend many months per year.
The North American small-town lifestyle thrust upon us is appealing in many ways. I would have chosen other places to live, places I loved and my soul still yearns for at night when she's lonely; like the south-west coast of India, Thailand, several Mexican towns I have made love to, and Caribbean places I vowed to still love, Columbia, Costa Rica, etc. Nevertheless, you have to do your dharma. In my experience with them angels in my life, where we live and what you do with your day is not in our control.
Lately, I do what I have to do. I have learned to surrender to the will of the powers that be. Some of the angels who organize my life, who involve themselves in 'making Jean productive', have a warped sense of humour. I am sure you have the same experience. Whenever I try to go against their program, they easily sit back and watch me suffer unspeakable humiliation and messy social, kitchen, and professional "accidents" one after another, until I get with the program again.
I guess what I am trying to say is, the only reason why I have not yet engaged in a WWF-style kick-the-#$@$ out of your angel fight in the big ring, is because our dearest playful and calming boddhisattva Tara keeps me smiling, obedient, writing, and well-suffering of the terrifying consumerist societies of Canada and the USA..
